At the end of the Calvary of Montpezat-sous-Bauzon, overlooking Notre-Dame de Prévenchères, the Chapel of Saint Roch has seen its interior walls decorated with frescoes by the painter of Antraigues Jean Saussac.
The statue of Saint Roch that was invoked against calamities (plague, drought) is currently in the town church.
The Notre Dame de Prévenchères chapel dates from the 17th century and is located on the Prévenchères road in the village of Montpezat-sous-Bauzon. The statue of Saint Roch, who was invoked to ward off calamities such as plague and drought, is now in the village church.
Close to the chapel, the church of Notre Dame de Prévenchères was rebuilt in the 12th century in the Romanesque style, close to the ancient road linking the Rhône valley to Auvergne via the Col du Pal, on the pilgrimage route to Le Puy. Close to the chapel and Notre Dame de Prévenchères, the priory and rose garden at Clastres attract rose lovers with their seasonal blooms (from late April to late June).
