Fabras
In the land of the young volcanoes in the Regional Natural Park of the Monts d’Ardèche, Fabras is a small village with a Cévenol charm, serenaded by the river’s murmur and bordered by basaltic flows—a truly delightful place to live!
The village proudly stands on the heights of our beautiful Monts d’Ardèche, at an elevation of 450 meters, between the valleys of the Ardèche and the Lignon, and its inhabitants are known as the “fabrassous” and “fabrassounes.”
What awaits you…
The Château du Pin
If we tell you: a castle with three towers, two visitable levels, a spiral staircase, cross-ribbed or barrel vaults, French-style ceilings, a remarkable garden, and a cabinet of curiosities, does it intrigue you? Don’t hesitate any longer and step through the doors of Château du Pin!
The volcanic panorama
A favorite viewpoint for panorama lovers, this medieval bridge is located at the foot of the Belvédère des Coulées basaltiques de Fabras. Here, the bridge spans the Lignon, a river that descends from the Tanargue Mountains before flowing into the arms of the Ardèche, just before Neyrac-les-Bains. Along its curves, you can observe one of the most beautiful volcanic flows in Europe, which perfectly complements the landscape’s contours.
The gourmet appointment
Le Bistrot de Pays du Point d’Orgues offers a completely homemade bistro cuisine, presented by Jérémie and Charlotte, with a simple and effective recipe: 100% fresh, raw, and local products. They also have a selection of Ardèche wines and beers, homemade cocktails… just thinking about it is making us hungry, isn’t it?
In addition to a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere, you can enjoy a stunning view from the terrace of the basaltic organ pipes of Fabras while sipping on a homemade cocktail, artisanal freshly squeezed fruit juices, or trying new flavors of Ardèche ice cream…
For history enthusiasts…

Sing a song!
Did you know? Fabras has a local song in its honor! It’s in the original Ardèche dialect and tells the legendary story of the victory of the Fabras brass band and its musicians, elected the best brass band in France!
