Come and discover the medieval and volcanic history of the village of Jaujac. Duration about 1h30.

Surrounded by the Cevennes greenhouses, nestled between the youngest volcano and long basaltic flows, Jaujac enchants the visitor with the the visitor by the beauty of its sites. The village takes its name from the ancient lordship of the Jaujac family, who lived in the 12th century in the Chastelas castle on the left bank of the river. A medieval village in the shape of a star, it is built around a square planted with trees and adorned with a fountain. Nearby there are many sights, such as the Coupe de Jaujac, the remains of an ancient volcano. The "Roman" bridge of Chastelas which allows you to cross a tributary of the Lignon on the way to the spa of Neyrac-Les Bains.
