Discover the Moulinage de Chirols, a former textile mill that has been transformed into a cultural and creative hub. Join a one-hour guided tour to explore its transformation, discover its activities and make the most of the evening: market, eco-museum, cultural programme.
Step behind the scenes at the Moulinage de Chirols and discover how this iconic former factory is being transformed, day by day, into a vibrant, creative space open to everyone!
Over the course of an hour, guided by a member of the Moulinage team, you’ll explore this remarkable piece of industrial heritage and learn about the regeneration project that is breathing new life into it today.
You’ll visit the arts and crafts workshops, the performance hall, the spaces currently under development, the future residential units, and the large patio – the very heart of this cultural and creative neighbourhood… all of these achievements have been made possible by a collective approach based on cooperation, participatory projects and the commitment of many people.
This visit is also an opportunity to share the values that underpin the project: cooperation, the passing on of skills, contemporary creation, reuse, bio-based materials, environmental sustainability and experimentation in the service of a living heritage.
New this year! On Friday evenings, the Écomusée du Moulinage also opens its doors to introduce you to the technical, industrial and social history of the spinning mills in the Ardèche. Combine the two tours to gain a comprehensive insight into the past, present and future of this exceptional site.
Then continue your evening at the Chirols farmers’ and craft market (5 pm to 8 pm), enjoy the food and drink on offer from the Fournil des Co’Pains and the market traders, and let yourself be surprised by the summer cultural programme organised by the Moulinage, the Fournil and other local organisations.
A wonderful way to spend an entire evening in the heart of a place where heritage, ecology, creativity and a warm, friendly atmosphere come together.
