Chirols is a typical village located between the two high valleys of the Ardeche and the Fontaulière composed of several hamlets along the Sainte-Marguerite mountain. You can access the village directly from the dam of Pont de Veyrières (next to the Écomusée du moulinage)
Environment
Enjoy the view from the top of Sainte Marguerite mountain (987m) and its great point of view on the Massif Central and even if you're lucky enough on sunny days, you would take a glimpse of the Alps
History
Fun fact, J. Cesar went through the Fontaulière valley to fight Vercingetorix ! You can observe an open-view on this valley from the village main square.
