Through a performance blending theatre and Baroque music, Orfeo 2000 invites audiences to rediscover the world of Molière and the vital role played by music in his work.
In the playwright’s day, comedy-ballets closely intertwined text, music, dance and costumes: a dialogue between the arts that this production brings to life on stage.
The texts and scenes inspired by Molière’s work are interwoven with a musical repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries, ranging from Frescobaldi to Bach, Vivaldi and Handel. With its colourful characters – a legacy of the Commedia dell’Arte – and Baroque sounds, the production invites the audience to rediscover the exuberant spirit of the theatre of that era.
Featuring Barbara Deheul (actress), Jean-Pierre Menuge (recorder), Alain Cahagne (harpsichord) and Pernette Cambreling (costumes).
Free entry for children under 16.
Tickets will be sold at the venue 30 minutes before the concert begins.
