Les Roches de Borée

07310 Borée

Borée, Ardèche

Opening : All year round daily.

These are typical examples of viscous lava needles that have formed almost in a solid state. There are no craters here, just massive shapes in the landscape. Interpretation table between the two rocks.

Like most of the nearby volcanoes, these multiplying pistons were formed between 8 and 6 million years ago. Access via the car park in the village square. 1-hour walk (return journey) between the two Borée rocks, 2 km (easy trail). Follow the signs for the Montagne Ardéchoise.
