This day celebrates pastoralism and local flavors in an exceptional natural setting.

The appointment is given at the Maison du Parc on the heights of Jaujac, a village full of character. The festival of transhumance has become a reference in Ardèche and is addressed to everyone.
Herd dogs, sheep shearing, shepherd’s dinner, refreshment bar.
Producers' market, debates Exhibition and opening Children’s games.


10am: arrival of the transhumant herd on site
11h: opening of the exhibition "This thread that connects us"
12h to 14h: shepherd’s meal - traditional breeders' meal: the famous Biassou, special bread cut in half in which you will find a slice or a ground steak of Ardèche lamb carefully grilled by our farmers, with salad and slice of Ardèche tomatoes, accompanied by artisanal chips from GAEC Victouron in St Victor.
Blueberry or chestnut white cheese from the Carrier dairy (Vals-les-Bains) . Finally, you can enjoy some cherries from Christophe Bourret and Véronique Banchet, producers at Le Crestet. Reservation and purchase of meals on site at the snack bar from the morning (800 meals available).

14h30: projection of Rasco and We
Meet breeders to understand how they raise and manage their protection dogs, in cohabitation with other users.
16h: departure from the transhumance
Come walk with the sheep leaving for transhumance towards the summer of Tanargue. Signpost over 1500 m. Distance to choose from. Without reservation.

From 10am and throughout the day: demonstration of a herd dog on a flock of sheep and geese.
Protection dog stand: knowledge and management of protection dogs.
Shearing demonstration: sheep shearing with explanation of the steps

Activities for children and adults! Carriage ride, mini-farm and games.
Exhibition: "this thread that connects us" immersion in textile know-how.
Pastoralism.

Farmers' and artisans' market: honey, chestnut products, blueberries, cheeses, cured meats, seasonal fruits, juices, ice creams and sweets as well as jewelry, leather goods, knives, drawings.

Attention! The hike-philo scheduled for June 15 is canceled. A postponement of the meeting is planned – date to come! (Simon Parcot had to postpone his visit because it will be on June 14/15 in Paris for the 2025 ceremony of the Société des Gens de Lettres, for which he received the Revelation award for his book Le chant des pentes)
