Opening : From Friday 29 to Sunday 31 August 2025.

Discover the exhibition ‘De fils et d'eau – Matières Subtiles’ (Of Threads and Water – Subtle Materials), featuring three works (by Delphine Caraz, Alessendro Ripoli and Jean-Jacques Cornillon) in dialogue with each other, on display at the church in Prévenchères, and take advantage of the workshops offered by the artists.

Outside of workshop hours, the artists will be on site for three days, on 29, 30 and 31 August, and will be available for discussions and meetings with the public to present their
works.

Delphine Caraz
is a visual artist and graduate of the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. Her work stems from her fascination with textiles (threads, clothing, fabrics) that she collects and the gestures associated with them. In particular, the running stitch has become her language, allowing her to explore memory, notions of transformation and transcendence. Things move slowly, concentrating within her sculptures, bas-reliefs, or books, as if to get to the heart of the matter before starting again.

Alessandro Ripoli
is a sculptor trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia, Italy. In residence for a year in the former silk factories of Neyrac, abandoned for 70 years, his work is inspired by a desire to pay tribute. By combining modelling with imprinting, he recreates a sensitive cartography of the landscapes and places that surround him. In a multifaceted body of work, the materials used retain the subtle traces of forgotten silk threads, translated into a new language.

ean-Jacques Cornillon
is a sound artist, author-photographer (registered with the Maison des Artistes) and comes from a background in live performance (actor and musician). He now writes with a recorder, a camera and a pen. Contemplative, he immerses himself in the subject matter and seeks to convey the feeling of events (storms, floods, human events, etc.) in a kind of three-dimensional reportage.
‘How natural events permeate our senses, our memories and our souls’ is the path I follow. Questioning my own connection with
the environment.
