Professional geologists are on hand to help the public identify the ‘pebbles’ that we have all picked up on our walks and travels, ‘pebbles’ that sit on our mantelpieces and shelves, sometimes inherited from our grandparents...
What are these wonders, and what do they tell us beyond our personal memories? The stones of the Monts d'Ardèche will be described by Maryse Aymes, from the Clapas association and a member of the UNESCO Global Geopark Scientific Committee.
This event is organised by the Géole section (Popularisation of Earth Sciences) of the Société Géologique de France. It takes place throughout February 2025 all over France. Free admission.
