The Château de Rochemure is home to the Maison du Géoparc des Monts d'Ardèche, dedicated to preserving biodiversity and promoting natural heritage. Discover its gardens and permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The castle of Rochemure is of a very romantic spirit with its aerial corbels. It is the seat of the Geopark of the Monts d’Ardèche. The idea of creating the park dates back to 1992, at the initiative of castanéiculteurs (chestnut producers) anxious to protect and enhance their production. The preservation of natural heritage is the basis of its sustainable development program: the park must preserve and develop the wealth common to its territory, territory with strong characteristics (landscapes, rural know-how, religious history, ancient volcanism, moulinages, etc.)
