5th Children's book fair: ‘‘from one letter to another’"

Opening : From Friday 29 to Saturday 30 May 2026 between 9.30 am and 6 pm.

An exhibition for the general public in the Place de Jaujac: book signings by the authors and illustrators, a stand run by the guest publishing house, an open-air bookshop, workshops, shows, entertainment by local cultural players and partner associations, etc.

The fair takes place over three days.

Day 1 (Thursday): school visits by authors and illustrators

Day 2 (Friday): meetings, workshops and performances on Jaujac Square by authors and illustrators, local cultural figures and partner organisations

Day 3 (Saturday): public fair on Jaujac Square: meet-and-greet and book-signing sessions with authors and illustrators, stands for the two publishing houses, an open-air bookshop, workshops, performances and activities organised by local cultural organisations and partner associations …

A literary prize: the Prix Bosses de chameaux

Awarded by schoolchildren from the Ardèche Sources et Volcans Community of Communes and certain schools in neighbouring communities of communes, this prize recognises books selected from the works of authors and illustrators invited to the fair.

This initiative (free of charge) involves circulating a selection of books by the invited authors and illustrators within the classes, with the help of volunteers and the libraries and media centres within the Ardèche Departmental Media Centre network.
Three prizes are awarded each year:
– Cycle 1 Prize (nursery school: reception, year 1 and year 2)
– Cycle 2 Prize (Year 1, Year 2, Year 3)
– Cycle 3 Prize (Year 4, Year 5, Year 6)
