‘Petite PoéPsy Lunatique’: a family-friendly, poetic and zany theatre production by Les Fous Sans Blanc. A band of fragmented characters takes flight into collective madness. A touring show where philosophy makes our gloomy thoughts laugh.

Les Fous Sans Blanc is a travelling theatre company based in the southern Ardèche, which has been self-managed by its actors for 28 years. There is no hierarchy: from creative work and performance to logistics, everything is handled by the troupe, which reforms every October, bringing together old and new members. A human adventure where we live together for a month on tour, transforming village squares and school playgrounds into temporary stages.

‘Petite PoéPsy Lunatique’, their latest production, is a family-friendly, poetic and zany show in which philosophy seeks to make our gloomy thoughts laugh. A band of fragmented characters, worn out by incompatible social roles, follow a dream that pulls them out of their absurd world to soar away on the flying carpet of their collective madness. As the troupe puts it: ‘With us, little dreams sometimes reach for the moon’.

On stage, all the actors remain almost constantly present, creating a physical and energetic ensemble performance that blends burlesque with poetry. After the performance, the adventure continues with a series of sketches and songs, followed by a drinks reception where the cast can chat with the audience.
