Historic site and monument in Jaujac, Ardèche

Opening : All year round daily.

Formerly a chestnut drying shed belonging to the Maison du Parc, this site now hosts a 7-minute audio experience that explores nocturnal life and the challenges involved in preserving darkness for wildlife.

Once used for drying chestnuts, this drying shed now hosts a 7-minute immersive sound experience. Voices, birdsong and animal calls invite you to discover the landscapes of the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park at nightfall and to listen to the life that stirs there.

This immersive experience also offers a better understanding of the effects of artificial lighting on nocturnal wildlife and the importance of preserving areas of total darkness. A sensitive yet educational experience, situated near the ‘Sentier qui pétille’ trail and forming part of the Park’s new discovery trail.
