They storm a glass tower, in La Défense, or elsewhere. They occupy it at daybreak, waiting for the employees to arrive. We are on the verge of changing the world and then… At the last moment, we back down. We stop. We choose to flee. From this unfinished action will arise the bitter taste of failure. Nagging thoughts. And then, little by little, the certainty that we cannot carry on living as before. The irrepressible need to see it through to the end. ‘Nous les vagues’ is a text about the imagination of collective action. It is the story of a movement, with its setbacks and its certainties. From chests swelling with adrenaline to the fragile tremor of a final breath. Perhaps it is, too, a love story. Directed by Margherita Bertoli, starring Maïa Jarville and Raphaël Mena.
