Waterfall and natural heritage of the village of Thueyts in Ardèche

Opening : All year round.

The waterfall of the "Gueule de l'enfer" = Hell's mouth is fed by the brook Merdaric from the village of caracter of Thueyts. If you're lucky, you will only be able to see it after heavy rains. You can observe it along the hiking trail that leads to Devil's Bridge.

The Jaws of Hell waterfall can sometimes be very impressive in certain seasons with a vertiginous jump of 80 m of water from the top of the basalt flow of the Giant’s Causeway. This one is formed thanks to the stream of Merdaric, for the lucky ones who would pass by the pedestrian path descending from the village of Thueyts in the direction of the bridge of the devil, they will be able to observe it after important rains only (and yes it remains ephemeral)
