Rv bi-goût: creating a choreographic market at the Jaujac volcano

For HEIMAEY's first creative residency at the Maison du Parc, this two-taste event brings together 3 talented artists working on volcanoes: petrologist Didier Laporte, ceramist Valérie Ferulla and choreographer David Wampach. An aperitif will be offered at the end of the meeting.

For its 24-25 season, Format has invited artist David Wampach, in partnership with the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche, to create HEIMAEY - a choreographic walk on the bowl of the Jaujac volcano, in dialogue with the province of the young volcanoes of Ardèche. This piece will be presented at Festival Format #11 in July 2025.

The aim of this event is to bring together the artistic, craft and scientific approaches of 3 personalities who share a common interest in the world of volcanoes: Didier Laporte, a petrologist, volcanologist and director of research at the CRNS (Magmas and Volcanoes Laboratory) at the University of Clermont, Valérie Ferulla, a ceramist and enameller of volcanic bomb ash from Souilhol, and David Wampach, a choreographer in residence at the Maison du Parc for his creation HEIMAEY!
