Discover and explore the architecture of a remarkable garden in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park. Set around a 16th-century fortified house, the slopes and terraces create a mysterious and intimate atmosphere. Collections of old roses.
The tours offer the chance to discover artists’ gardens awarded the “Remarkable Garden” label, and to learn how to adapt them to climate change, for example by prioritising the planting of botanical roses. The roses, indeed, fill the air with their fragrance: 130 varieties of rose, thousands of blooms in spaces dedicated to heritage, landscape and contemporary creation.

Visits to the gardens are combined with those to the château, a 16th-century fortified house typical of the Cévennes region of the Ardèche, where, as in the gardens, numerous works by modern and contemporary artists are on display.
The Château du Pin site (castle and gardens) has been awarded the ‘Maison du Parc naturel régional des Monts d’Ardèche’ label.

The gardens of Le Pin reveal secrets and mysteries. Notably, along the slopes, there is a collection of old and botanical roses.
Guest artists: Colette Bonzo, Martine Diersé, Geneviève Gutierrez, Liis Lillo, Louiseneige, Benoît Mazzer, Anne-Marie Rey, Maxime Sanchez. And the ‘Bestiaire’, a photographic catalogue of animal presences in the gardens: from insects to wild boars, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, architectural features and furniture. A panorama on display in the gardens, accompanied by a publication.

Make sure you wear suitable footwear.

As partners of the ‘Jardin et Santé’ association, we welcome very small groups for peaceful walks through the gardens, focusing on the scents, colours and appearance of the plants (flowers and vegetables, leaves and tree bark, fruit). The tour also takes in the artworks on display. A drawing workshop can be arranged. The visit can conclude with a tasting of fruit jams and drinks made from garden produce.
