Historic site and monument in Chirols, Ardèche
The church in Chirols was built in 1873 when the population of the area began to swell as a result of the milling boom. Built of stone on a rocky outcrop, it overlooks the Fontaulière valley, where its comb-shaped steeple is an eye-catcher and an invitation to take a stroll.
The church was renovated in the 1950s and the roof was redone in 1990. The municipality of Chirols and the Association de Valorisation de Chirols are currently working on the restoration of the building, so don't hesitate to contact them if you'd like to make a donation!
