Create your artwork (max. 40 x 30 cm) using the indirect Roman/ancient technique. From cutting ceramic stoneware to collage on a backing, learn each step with the tools provided. Materials and advice included. Register online or by telephone.

PROGRAMME:

- explanation of ancient mosaics and the different stages involved in their creation

- choice of design from those on offer (reproductions of ancient motifs)

- fixing the design, tracing, emphasising the concentric curves and areas by colour

- tesserae: choice of colours, preparation of different sizes

- preparation of the glue

- Layout, gluing of tesserae onto paper

- Continuation of gluing and, depending on the progress of the participants:

- Gluing onto a mobile support or technical advice for fixing with mortar onto a fixed support (e.g. wall)

- Demonstration/technical advice for grouting (must be done at least 24 hours after drying)
