Randonnée au départ du village de St Pierre de Colombier en Ardèche et son hameau de Pruneyrolles

On this walk, discover one of the hamlets of St Pierre de Colombier. Pass through chestnut groves, calades and typical Ardèche terraces.

Start at the “INFO RANDO” panel, Market Square in St Pierre de Colombier.

① Head towards the village center, cross the bridge over the Bourges, and reach the RD 26.

② Turn left at the RD26 intersection. Follow the road for 200m, passing the Post Office.

③At the cross, cross the road and climb between the houses.

④ 🚩On the church square, observe the tympanum (arch around the door) of the church, which was carved by a passionate sculptor from the village, a rare feat. Head towards Burzet 7.7km, passing the church, then cross the small bridge and climb through the chestnut trees on the paved path.

⑤ At La Croix de Tarissou, follow the sign 🚩”Burzet, 7.2km”. Continue to the road. To the right, you will discover beautiful terraces (faïsses).

⑥ At Champeaux, follow the sign 🚩 “St-Pierre-de-Colombier, 2.7km”. Follow the road to the left to reach the hamlet of Arzalier.

⑦ At the entrance of the hamlet, take the path on the left that passes between houses, meadows, and gardens. Enter the park, closing the gate behind you. Continue on the stone-lined path and proceed under the chestnut trees to reach the cross of Tarissou.

⑧ At La Croix de Tarissou, follow the sign 🚩 “St-Pierre-de-Colombier 0.9km”. At the post 🚩 in the church square, follow the sign 🚩 “Info Rando, 0.4km”. Follow the same path back to the market square.

Road access and parking

From Aubenas, take the N102 to Pont de Labeaume. At the village exit, turn right onto the D536 and then head towards Burzet.
From Thueyts, take the N102 towards Aubenas. Before the Rolandy bridge at Pont-de-Labeaume, turn left onto the D536 and then head towards Burzet.
