‘Skizomundo’ – a musical and a tragicomic satire on our current human condition! Lyrics that are dreamlike, sensual, sensitive, violent and funny… A musical world of shifting moods, a wild, progressive rock opera that is devilishly human.

Musical ‘Skizomundo’: end-of-residency performance (creative phase with a live audience) supported by the municipality of Meyras.

The show
‘Skizomundo’ is a musical and a tragicomic satire on our current human condition! Texts that are dreamlike, sensual, sensitive, violent and funny… A musical world of shifting character… ‘Skizomundo’ is a wild, devilishly human progressive rock opera that dares (at last) to say that we, as individuals, contribute to the evil that gnaws at us. Blending and blurring references, ‘Skizomundo’ draws its inspiration from the writings of Michel Foucault and Miguel de Cervantes, who both pondered so deeply on the human condition, and revisits certain myths such as Homer’s Odyssey. The show opens with the question: ‘Are we all mad here on earth? Are we all gods, disciples or kings?’

The creative residency
La Compagnie des Chimères and its associate artists are in creative residency from 21 to 25 September 2026 at the community hall in Meyras.

The residency showcase
A preview performance (a stage of the creative process featuring a stage rehearsal) will take place on Friday 25 September 2026 at 6.30 pm at the community hall, 7 Place du Champ de Mars, Meyras, with the support of the Meyras local council. You are invited to discover this show as it takes shape and to chat with the artists – singers, musicians and actors. Admission is free.
