Opening : Wednesday 27 August 2025.
On its ‘DAY OFF’, the Cie du Faubourg presents La Quête du Râle: a prehistoric clown, didgeridoo, fire and flint stones take you on a funny and poetic punk-trance-rock journey to meet a very, very distant cousin. Suitable for all ages, in French, 1 hour.
Created and performed by Olivier Clément.
‘Paahahaaaa’ is a prehistoric man who arrives in our world. He goes from one discovery to another: ‘Whoaaa, a new tribe!’ He then begins a game of absurd one-upmanship to make himself understood and loved by this potential family. With physical and musical dexterity that comes from afar, he invites us to encounter the world from which he comes. We are thrown into a ritual of communion with nature that comes from the depths of time. A frenzied prehistoric-contemporary trance, the adoption of a distant cousin. A tribute to our ancestors. A character straight out of our history books. A journey into prehistory full of intelligence, fantasy and nonsense. A meticulous musical and artisanal creation, with real skins, real fire and real flints inside.
