L'Alchimista brings together artists from a variety of musical backgrounds to perform carefully curated programmes. They tell the stories of peoples from Naples
to Buenos Aires, and from Lisbon to Alta Rocca.
The ensemble has recreated a true ‘Latin Passion’ using a variety of pieces drawn not only from the classical repertoire but also from popular traditions – Italian, Corsican,
Spanish, Argentinean, Portuguese… demonstrating the convergence of universal emotions.
Just like the tango, serenades or fado, traditional music evolves, reinvents itself, and above all retains its passionate vitality, embodied here by the
sunny voices of the baritone, Johan Genin-Brandt, and the mezzo-soprano, Sylvie Martinot.
