Spend a weekend in the heart of the snow-covered Monts d'Ardèche and put yourself in the shoes of a trapper from the Far North.
A weekend of snowshoe trekking in the Massif Central, with an unusual night in a bivouac.
Depending on where you come from, the Monts d'Ardèche are the first or last mountains of the eastern Massif Central. This mountainous region is full of contrasts, with one part under a strong Mediterranean influence and another enjoying a mountain climate and snow in winter.
It's in this part of the Monts d'Ardèche, at an altitude of over 1,200 metres, that we propose this weekend or these 2 days of snowshoeing, with a night in a winter bivouac in an igloo or heated tepee/tent.

2 days / 1 night / 2 half-day snowshoeing activities. Not too difficult.
From 3 to 10 people. From 12 years old. Groups of individuals. Possibility of 2 people for a supplement of 75€/pers. Groups of 4 people or more, departure date at your convenience.

EQUIPMENT TO BE PROVIDED
For the hike
- Backpack 45 to 60 litres
- Waterproof hiking boots suitable for snowshoeing
- Gore-tex type jacket with hood
- Waterproof pants or overalls
- Fleece jacket
- 2 pairs of gloves
- Bonnet
- Sunglasses
- Lip and skin protection
- A pair of gaiters
For bivouacs
- A sleeping bag with minimum comfort temperature -10 to -5°C (additional blankets provided)
- Self-inflating mattress or cot in cover
- Plate or bowl, cutlery, cup
- Headlamp with spare batteries (avoid rechargeable batteries that drain quickly with cold)
- Warm underwear for the night
- 1 candle
- Heaters
For your needs during hiking
- Biodegradable toilet paper
- Biodegradable soap or cleansing gel
Small personal pharmacy (not to be confused with a field hospital):
- Analgesic (aspirin, Doliprane), vitamin C, elastoplast, adhesive dressings, double skin (Compeed), Quies balls
- Your personal medication...
A collective pharmacy is provided for the group.
Mandatory:
