Hike: Jaujac and St-Cirgues-de-Prades

Full-day hike in the Sources et Volcans area.
Morning: Jaujac and the basalt columns – 7.8 km – elevation gain 352 m
Afternoon: St-Cirgues-de-Prades – 5.2 km – elevation gain 139 m
Meet at Place de St Pierre de Colombier and set off at 9.00 am from the Meyras car park

Equipment: Walking shoes, clothing suitable for the weather conditions, a rucksack containing at least 1 litre of water. Walking poles and binoculars may also be useful.

The Bourges Hiking, Activities and Friendship Association offers a varied programme of walks in the Ardèche mountains from September to June: from the Ardèche plateau to the southern Ardèche, via the Ardèche Cévennes.

These outings in the great outdoors offer the chance to discover breathtaking views and landscapes set against a backdrop of geological history and volcanic activity, the heritage of the small villages (visits to churches, abbeys, chapels, castles, bread ovens, etc.) as well as the local flora and fauna.
