Follow in the footsteps of the lava flow from the Jaujac volcano and explore your connection to the earth and magma - dance walking, drawing, writing and landscape reading. A journey led by David Wampach & Léa Leclerc, inspired by the play HEIMAEY. Ages 14 and up
David Wampach and Léa Leclerc are proposing a field for physical experimentation, mixing dance and sharing the choreographic material of the piece HEIMAEY. In the footsteps and lava flow of the Jaujac volcano, this workshop invites you to connect with the earth and magma. Surveying, reading the landscape, writing, drawing and walking and dancing will all be part of the exploration.
In partnership with the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche, David Wampach has been invited to create HEIMAEY - a choreographic walk on the Jaujac volcano. HEIMAEY grew out of a reflection on the impermanence of natural phenomena. Using walking as a catalyst to raise awareness, he created this performance in situ as a way of taking care of our environments. Presentation of the show at the Format!
