A four-day hiking tour with a donkey, exploring the first stretches of the Loire as it winds through the Massif Central in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche. Magnificent stretches of unspoilt countryside and rivers await you there.

4 days / 3 nights / 4 days of trekking with a donkey
Moderately challenging.
Minimum 2 people.
Ages 6–8 and above.

Times and meeting point
Meeting point: 9am at the donkey hire centre ‘Les ânes de Farfara’. As we have a strict departure schedule, please be punctual.

Ferme du Pré du Bois at the Col de la Barricaude.

For your information: The farm is outside the village of Burzet (14 km from the village centre) and is closer to the villages of Sagnes and Goudoulet (4 km).

Equipment to bring:

For hikers
- Suitable walking boots
- Small rucksack for your personal belongings: documents, camera, phone, etc.
- Drinks & snacks
- Picnic
- Cap
- Sunglasses
- Rainwear
- Warm clothing (small hat and a pair of gloves). Please note: we are in the mountains, so mornings and evenings can be chilly.
- Binoculars, if you have them

For luggage carried by donkeys:
- A soft, waterproof bag to put in the leather saddlebags.
- An additional waterproof tube-shaped bag or rucksack to carry extra items.

And a few carrots as treats for the donkeys. Please avoid bread.
