Meyras launches its Castagnades! Throughout the day, a market of local producers and creators, games and a refreshment stand with snacks.
The artistic theme of this year's Parc des Monts d'Ardèche is ‘Les Castagnades se prennent au jeu’.

Nestled in the heart of the Ardèche Cévennes, Meyras opens its doors to you in its lush green setting for an event with a guaranteed friendly atmosphere. Chestnut growers, artisans, artists, restaurateurs and
locals come together to celebrate a shared heritage centred around the chestnut, rich
in traditions, expertise and encounters. Come and share an authentic moment, combining local produce, culture and conviviality.

Programme for the day:

From 10am and throughout the day
- Artistic theme of the Parc des Monts d'Ardèche: ‘Les Castagnades se prennent au jeu’
- Market featuring local artisans and producers
- Déambull wooden games
- Continuation of the Saint Blaise sculpture with the Tête en Friche collective
- Face painting stand
- A weighing net
- Parc des Monts d'Ardèche stand
- Sources & Volcans Tourist Office stand
- Refreshment stand, snacks and toast

On the sidelines, throughout the day

ENTERTAINMENT
- 10:00am Square ball games
- 10:30am Line dancing demonstration
- 11:15am Le Taraf de Beauchastel (musical group performing throughout the event)
- 11:45 a.m. Aperitif offered by the municipality
- 2 p.m. Gourmet chestnut challenge with the Confrérie de la Châtaigne d'Ardèche
Participants welcome at the Salle Nicolas, where dishes and recipes will be submitted.
Public jury deliberation

- 2pm, 3pm & 4pm ‘Terre d'Ardèche’ slideshow by Serge Pegoraro (Entertainment area)
- 2.30pm Bogues throwing competition
- 2.30pm Le Taraf de Beauchastel (street band)
- 3.30pm Line dancing demonstration
- 5pm Prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the gastronomic competition, the bogues throwing competition and the filet garni competition.

Catering
Light refreshments available on site: exhibitors' and Friends of the School stands and five restaurants near the festivities.
