The EDF power plant in Montpezat sous Bauzon is a hydroelectric plant in Ardèche. It produces the 1st renewable energy in Europe. Not accessible for self-guided tours. Accessible from 12 years on guided tours according to schedule established by EDF.

Production: the Montpezat EDF power station under Bauzon has = 2 production groups representing a total installed capacity of 131.8 MW.

Operation: The waters of the Ardèche plateau are captured
and stored in:
- the natural lake of Issarlès,
- the retention of the churning of the Veyradère,
- the dam of the Palisse,
fed by the Loire and the Vernazon,
- the Gage dam reservoir, supplied with
by the Gage and the Tauron.
