Passionate about the art of glassmaking, in 1983 I introduced into my professional life the art of using colours to decorate a glass space, inside or out, and glass to create a decorative object, a sculpture...

"Col'Aure la Vie" was born of my passion in 2004.
The Ardèche welcomed us first in Thueyts, in 2006, then in Lalevade d'Ardèche.
Today, it's in Prades that I continue to caress the glass: the workshop's activity has separated from its craft side to keep only the artistic part of my glassmaking trade, and is divided into two essential areas:

1. Creation of one-off sculptures and decorative objects.
I mainly use the fusing technique, which I love for its diversity of applications. I create sculptures, figurative or abstract, original and unusual, naïve bestiaries... "slices of life", often with a humorous or tender touch, but always imbued with the poetry of life.
Here and there, the glass is sculpted, engraved, enamelled, then fused and thermoformed. These techniques also allow me to create decorative objects in crystalline, soft or vibrant colours, according to my own desires, or those of my customers.
And to recycle cullet - the residue from industrial glass furnaces - to create new pieces...

2. Passing on skills.
Trained by qualified European glassmakers and recognised as a Master Craftsman in 2011, I have turned my workshop into a tool for passing on know-how, to welcome and train people, because it is so important that the knowledge acquired over the years is not lost and passed on to other generations.

Life has taught me, as Galileo said, that "you can't teach people anything: you can only help them to discover that they possess within themselves everything that needs to be learned".
