5pm - EXTRACT FROM RECREATION
In the first part and as an introduction, 12 amateur dancers present for the first time an unreleased extract from the first 15 minutes of the piece Songlines.

Created to the fascinating musical composition In C by Terry Riley, Songlines captures the founding movement of walking. Walking composes, walking writes, walking invents an indissoluble link with the environment. Along the way, each of us reads the world and multiplies our perceptions.

Among the Australian Aborigines, Songlines are the paths that criss-cross the land, inscribed in the landscape by ancient, legendary totemic beings, creating paths preserved to this day through song and dance. What contemporary totems can we erect to echo today's footsteps? In this repertory work, 6 choreographic artists join forces to activate a movement that has spanned the history of the world.
